Netflix hires Halo writer Joseph Staten to produce AAA game

Joe Staten, a former Halo writer for Microsoft, has joined Netflix to develop a triple-A game.

An AAA game has a massive budget and is distributed by a major publisher such as Microsoft or Activision.

In a tweet, Staten said he was going to serve as Creative Director on the unannounced project.

Staten previously worked for Microsoft's publishing division and was brought in to salvage Halo Infinite. As a cinematic director and writer for the original Halo trilogy, Staten previously worked for Bungie. Before Destiny was released, he even helped Bungie with some scribe work.
